Terms of service

Service

PDF Edit API ("the service") edits PDF documents you submit through its API and returns the result. It is provided by the independent developer named in the contact section. It is verified change by change, but no particular edit is guaranteed to be possible; an edit the service cannot verify is refused rather than returned.

Your documents

Uploaded and edited documents are stored only to serve the request and are deleted automatically within 24 hours, previews within the same window. Job records without document content are kept for 30 days for support and billing. Documents are never used for anything else.

Acceptable use

You may only edit documents you have the right to alter. Producing a document intended to deceive a third party about its origin or content (a forged invoice, a tampered contract, an altered official record) is prohibited and ends the account without refund. Documents that look like financial, legal or sealed papers are watermarked by default for this reason.

Accounts and billing

One account per email address; you are responsible for the use of your keys. Monthly allowances reset each period; credit packs do not expire. Every plan is prepaid: when the allowance and any pack pages are used up, requests are refused until the next period or a pack purchase; nothing is billed beyond what you bought. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; a cancelled plan stays until the end of the paid period.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months before the claim. The service is provided as is.

Open source

The editing engine is free software under the GNU AGPL-3.0; its complete source is available to every API user at GET https://api.niubai.vip/source with any key. The clients and the MCP server are MIT.

Privacy policy

What we store. Your email address (the account), API keys as one-way hashes, usage counts per period, job records (operation, page numbers, timings, warnings; never the text of your documents) kept 30 days, and the documents themselves for 24 hours so the result can be downloaded, previews likewise. Request logs with IP addresses are kept 14 days for abuse prevention and debugging.

What we do not do. Documents are not used to train models, are not read by people except to resolve a support case you open, and are not shared with anyone. No advertising, no analytics cookies; the only cookie is the sign-in session on the account page.

Who else sees data. Payments are processed by Creem (merchant of record), which receives your email and payment details under its own policy; sign-in mail is delivered by Resend; the service runs on Alibaba Cloud servers. Each processor sees only what its job needs.

Your rights. Ask for a copy, a correction or the deletion of your account and data at any time by writing to the contact address from the account email; deletion is completed within 30 days and ends the account. Questions about this policy go to the same address.

Refund policy

Purchases are final once pages have been used. A credit pack or the first month of a subscription is refunded in full if requested within 7 days of purchase and no pages were consumed on the account. If the service fails to process your documents and support cannot resolve it, the unused portion is refunded. Cancelling a subscription stops future charges and keeps the plan until the end of the paid period; there are no prorated refunds. Requests go to the contact address from the email on the account; refunds are processed by Creem to the original payment method. Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.
